American pre-Code mystery crime drama.

Dog show competitor Archer Coe, a prominent and much-hated collector is found murdered within his own locked-door bedroom. Philo Vance investigates the murder of Coe, whose broken Chinese vase provides an important clue.

The Kennel Murder Case was the fourth and final film appearance of William Powell as Philo Vance.
